“This is near the Italian hospital and somewhere that attracts Italian families, so it feels authentic. My husbands been coming here for years and when we go we catch up with the family that run it and chat. Its unpretentious and the food is simple, all the care goes in to the food rather than fancy decoration. You can always get a table and its a good place to take an old friend because its very restful. I always have pasta, usually Spaghetti Vongole and several portions of garlic bread”

Thats increasingly an oxymoronic phrase as the dollar loses ground against the pound in Britain, a nation hardly celebrated for its cuisine. Cosmoba is a small Italian establishment tucked down Cosmo Place just off of Southampton Row in Londons Bloomsbury section. Discovering its exquisite Spaghetti Carbonara and Veal Marsala provided one of the happier epiphanies of our three week trip through Britain and France this summer.“

“I went to Cosmoba for a meal with my family. The weather was nice so we got a table outside. The food was excellent (especially my Spaghetti with lobster) and the service to match. We finished off with dessert and coffees (highly recomend the Tiramisu, best I’ve had!). Will definately go back!“

“We came to eat at your restaurant last night for 7pm and arrived sodden after being caught in the torrential rain that chose to come down as we walked from Russell Square! After drying off however, my girlfriend and I had one of the best meals we has in a long time. It certainly embarrasses our unfortunately regular visits to pizza express - which we have promised to stop now for the sake of eating proper food! I had the arrogosta and my girlfriend had the salsicce con fagiolo e polenta; both were beautifully cooked, followed by dessert. To top off the meal, one of the waiters offered us a complimentary digestif, which was very kind and rounded the meal off very well.
